Checking the sizes of doors is important, especially when we are considering buying a new home, renovating an existing one before moving in, or we simply want to make improvements on our present homes.
Having a wrong sized door may hurt our home value, both aesthetically and physically! Althogh the door design is important, it is also good idea to have doors that at least the appropriate standard door dimensions.

A garage door, it’s usual measurement is eight feet by seven feet up to eight feet by sixteen feet. However, these sizes are only ideal for small cars like sedans. If we have a bigger car, we may need to work with a professional to determine the actual door size that can accommodate larger cars.
It might also be a good idea to have a garage door installed that can accommodate larger vehicles like trucks and SUVs even if we don’t have these at the moment as we’ll never know when we might be purchasing these kinds of bigger cars.
